Advance Voting by Mail
Ballots begin mailing to voters on October 13th.
Voters can apply to vote by mail in the November local election.
Applications are available online and must be received by Tuesday, October 26th. We recommend applying as soon as possible to give yourself enough time to receive and return your ballot.

Ballots can be returned by mail, to any in-person voting location during voting hours, or to any of our eight ballot drop boxes:
- Blue Valley Library
- Central Resource Library
- De Soto Library
- Johnson County Election Office
- Gardner Library
- Johnson County Northeast Offices
- Shawnee Library
- Spring Hill Library

The November local election is a countywide election that includes city, school district, community college, water district, and drainage district offices. Every registered voter will have at least one race on their ballot.
