Are polling places accessible to people with disabilities?

Yes. Federal and State law require the election process to be accessible to all voters. Each polling place has at least one fully accessible, Help America Vote Act (HAVA) compliant voting machine that enables voters with disabilities to vote independently.

Voters with disabilities may have the assistance of a friend, family member, or companion, or receive assistance from two election workers.

When a voter arrives at a polling site and is unable to physically enter the voting location for whatever reason, we do offer curbside voting service. This is facilitated by a wireless doorbell device that the voter will activate. A phone number is noted for the voter to call in the event that the doorbell notification to the election workers in the polling place does not work.
