Q: I’ve already applied to vote by mail, but I just got another application in the mail. Does that mean I need to apply again?
A: No, if you’ve already applied to vote by mail, you do not need to submit another application. We would ask voters to avoid sending duplicate applications to our office.

Q: How can I double-check to make sure I’ve applied to vote by mail in November?
A: Our team is currently processing applications for the November election. You can check the status of your application and ballot by using Voter View

Q: When will ballots begin mailing for the November election?
A: Ballots will begin mailing on Wednesday, October 14. That date is set by Kansas law. We would encourage voters to apply as soon as possible to ensure your ballot is mailed as early as possible. Mail ballot applications are available at voter.jocoelection.org.

Q: Are there options for returning my ballot other than mailing it?
A: Yes, Kansas law allows voters to return their ballots to any advance voting location or Election Day polling location during voting hours. Ballots can also be returned to the 24-hour, drive-thru ballot boxes at the Election Office (2101 E. Kansas City Road, Olathe). New ballot drop boxes will be available at the following locations:
