Change your party affiliation

Democratic and Republican Party voters: To vote in the Democratic or Republican Party primary elections on August 4, you must be affiliated with that party. Voters switching between parties must change their party affiliation by June 1.

Unaffiliated voters: Unaffiliated voters can affiliate with a party at any time, including Election Day. Unaffiliated voters who do not affiliate with a party will only be eligible to vote in nonpartisan primary election contests, if any.

Libertarian Party voters: The Libertarian Party will not have primary elections on the ballot in August. Voters affiliated with the Libertarian Party who would like to vote in the Democratic or Republican Party primary elections must change their party affiliation by June 1. Libertarian Party voters who remain affiliated with the Libertarian Party will only be eligible to vote in nonpartisan primary election contests, if any.

You can update your party affiliation by completing a new voter registration application
