The Johnson County Election Office is monitoring guidance from federal, state, and local health officials regarding COVID-19, the novel coronavirus. For more information, Johnson County voters should use the following resources:

Beginning Tuesday, March 24, the Election Office in Olathe will be closed to the public through at least Thursday, April 23, but voters are encouraged to read the information below for alternatives to in-person service.
Voters can access most of the Election Office’s services online at jocoelection.org and contact the Election Office at (913) 715-6800 or [email protected] with questions.
The State of Kansas’ online voter registration application is available.
Registered voters can apply to receive a ballot by mail for any election. Voters can apply using a smartphone. Paper applications are also available online. Completed applications can be sent to [email protected]. Separate applications must be submitted by each voter for each election.
Candidate Filing Deadline (June 1)
Candidates for county and township offices are required to file at the Election Office. The candidate filing deadline is June 1 at noon.
